Masters by Coursework – Graduate School of Business

Starting a new postgraduate course can definitely be nerve-wracking. I was extremely anxious when I first started my MBA coursework. The idea of getting used to the ‘postgrad’ life and making new friends did scare me initially. But over time, I managed to adapt really well because of the support I received from all my peers around me. Having lived, worked and studied in four different countries throughout my life, cultural awareness has been ingrained into my personality. Also, I have been through what new postgraduate students will be experiencing – Hence, I will be able to provide you with apt advice, feedback and support to help you adjust and settle in. I have a friendly nature so I enjoy meeting and assisting new students.

My best advice to new postgrad students would be: “Don’t be shy! You have nothing to lose! Make the best out of this time and enjoy the journey”

Franziska Messa

Masters by Coursework – Graduate School of Business

Bentley campus

Hi folks,
I am Franziska Messa, an MBA student of Curtin Business School. I am from Europe and I love cultures & languages. This interest led me study a Bachelor in Intercultural Communication (translation + a bit interpreting) in Italian and Russian in Austria. However, I quickly realised that language skills are not enough nowadays. This led me to study Business in Australia. I am about to finish my MBA here at Curtin and I have to confess that I really learned a lot! The classes are demanding in a way but it is up to you how much you will and want to take out of the classes! I just came back from a 5-months internship in Hamburg, Germany, and this made me realise how much I have learnt at Curtin. So take out the best of your classes and get ready for the big world out there!
