Kirilee Wood

Masters by Research – Public Health

Hi, my name is Kirilee.

I am a mature student undertaking a Masters of Philosophy in Public Health (currently researching a vulnerable population). My under-graduate was in Humanities, and both my postgraduate Certificate and Diploma were International Health, so I have a pretty good understanding of Social Sciences, population and maternal health.  I can help people with time-keeping, and refining study skills. Also, navigating the Curtin online resources.

Felicity Roux

PhD – Public Health

Bentley campus

Greetings! and welcome to all things Curtin. I’ve loved my time here, and have learnt to navigate round the campus, candidacy and more besides. Its a supportive environment with everyone helping each other, so enjoyed a few laughs in tutoring fellow postgrads through Statistics. Intense, but we all got through. My project is helping adolescent girls improve their in health literacy skills. Go well and Carpe Diem!

Available Mentors - Coursework students

Available for those students studying a Masters by Coursework, Graduate Certificate, or Graduate Diploma.

There are currently 2 mentors available.

Kellee Brown

Graduate Diploma – Public Health

Studying fully online

I graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health in February of this year (2017). I live in Albany, Western Australia and so studied fully online. I am also lucky enough to have worked in Environmental Health, as a technician, for the past 5 years, so also have a lot of practical knowledge of the job.

I am considered a “mature age’ student and work full time. I think this combination will enable me to give you hints and tips for juggling study / work / social life, especially if you live in regional / remote WA.

I really do understand the challenges of feeling isolated because you can’t attend lectures, or just pop in to your campus library, but there are ways of feeling connected to your university, including your lecturers and fellow
students, so if these are the challenges you do, or feel you may, face; please consider choosing me as your mentor.
